CENTRIFUGAL SYSTEMS he won the Frans Molenaar Couture Award. CENTRIFUGAL SYSTEMS is a study on the effects of gravity on fabrics and clothing - an investigation to what would happen to the drape of fabrics if gravity were not applicable. By turning something fast around a center axle, a centrifugal force emerges that counteracts gravity. As part of the collection he designed a motor- ized corset which made me able to let skirts float in the air.
On November 17, 2017 he presented his first solo show. AN EXPERIMENT WITH PARABOLAS. With the parabola as the center of movement and shape, he designed 5 silhouettes and 5 installations. Each installation mirrors a silhouette in both shape and movement. Human action causes a mechanical reaction. Through ropes, pulleys and large wooden structures the human movement is transformed and bring the installations in motion. Together with music (by Alex Kassian) and with lighting, a hypnotic atmosphereis created in which movement, sound and form merges together. Since then he has been developing a fabric making machine.
