Zur künstlerischen Arbeit von Angelo Molinari

Molinari has been displaying his work since he was a student; among the most important exhibitions of this first period are "PATMOS" (Sala del Maniscalco, Urbino 1983) and "Il golpe del pianerottolo", (Galleria Moderna, Bologna 1982). At the Accademia he met the Chinese master Hsiao Chin who introduced him to Oriental painting.
His painting has examined various visual languages, from photography to photo-reproduction with pictorial interventions, up to the latest abstract-gestual research. Molinari has exhibited his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 1990 he exhibited at the Spriano Gallery in Omegna: this is the beginning of a long collaboration and friendship that continues to this day. Since 2014 he collaborates with the Weber gallery in Turin.
Molinari's latest research on materials, see his abstract gesture spread out on layers of transparent plastic sheets, breaking down the depths into physically spaced planes. Among his most recent solo shows are "In principio era il gesto" (Spazio Hus, Milan 2019) and “Codice cromatico” (Galleria Cristina Moregola, Busto Arsizio 2016).
Several arts critics wrote about him: Mariano Apa, Brenda Bacigalupo, Giorgio Caione, Luciano Caprile, Loredana Carena, Claudio Cerritelli, Francesca Gattoni, Friedrich Wilhelm Heckmanns, Elisabetta Longari, Giulio Martinoli, Dino Marangon e Nikos Varga.
